How to Calculate Electricity Cost?
293
Electricity consumption is charged as "kWh", kilowatt * hour, it can be calculated by checking the unit charge from the invoice.
For example:
Power: 600W
Duration: 6*30 = 180h
Energy: 0.6*180 = 108 kWh
In the example, let's assume that there is 600W working continuously at maximum.
Electricity Kwh fee was around 0.50 USD at the latest, of course, you need to check the real existing prices.
If we calculate the kWh fee from 0.50, it means that you will pay 0.50 USD for 1kw (ie 1000w) burned for 1 hour.
600W means it burns 600w (i.e. 0.6kwh). In other words, if you work at full capacity for this 1 hour, you will pay 0.6 * 0.50 = 0.3 USD.
This is how you can do your own calculations and planning budget, possible profits.
