ProGuard is a free 3rd party library for compressing and obfuscating source codes of the developed applications.

Even it's looking as a 3rd party software, it's also mentioned on "Android Developer" page on "Shrink Your Code and Resources" section.

How to use it?

ProGuard has a simple installation with Gradle.

For activating ProGuard inside "build.gradle" file of project, we are changing release, beta, production values inside  "android", "defaultConfig", "buildTypes" fields
